Clay

Often also referred to as "Venetian" plaster, lime plaster is a time-tested, highly durable, breathable finish with an extremely wide variety of options for color, sheen, and texture. Tadelakt
A word that refers to an ancient application technique, tadelakt is lime plaster, but applied in a highly refined method that involves many successive, well-timed layers, and the application of natural soap and wax. This allows the material to be used in shower surrounds, backsplashes, and anywhere else that gets exposed to running water.
